Through Trinity Players, our afterschool program, students step onto the grand stage alongside professional actors and craft their own narratives inspired by the power of Shakespeare.

This transformative experience ignites their imaginations, expands their perspectives, and cultivates a range of social and academic skills.

Production of an (Abridged) Shakespeare Play

Performance Experience: Students will collaborate with professional actors to produce a condensed version of a Shakespearean play. This hands-on experience allows them to dive deep into character development, understand complex narratives, and bring classic stories to life.

Interactive Learning: Through theatrical play and lively discussions, students will connect the timeless themes of Shakespeare with their own 21st-century experiences. They'll delve into the vibrant rhythms and meters of Shakespearean texts, bringing the material to life in a dynamic, hands-on way.

Sonnet Writing Showcase

Creative Expression: Students will write original mini narrative sonnets inspired by a selected Shakespearean play. This process enhances their understanding of poetic structures, encourages creative thinking, and enables them to find their unique voice.

Showcase Opportunity: Professional actors will perform the students' sonnets in an open showcase, providing a platform for students to share their work with friends, family, and the community. This experience reinforces the value of their creative efforts and builds pride in their accomplishments.
